Mihaela's Approach

I started in private practice because I am convinced that I can do more out here in the world to support people be better versions of themselves: more accepting, more compassionate, less hurt by their own and other people's baggage.

I'd like to live in a world where people are not held back by anxiety, depression or lack of confidence. You are capable: to be more engaged in your relationships, your work and your play. Therapy-the healing and tending of the mind- is a great tool to use in the accomplishment of this goal.

As a therapist, I am curious to learn about your life’s journey, to see how it has shaped you. I am open and kind, but also direct and clear-cut; I’ve been told that I am assertive and passionate. In therapy with me you will examine the thoughts that are limiting you and your functioning.

As much as we’ll work together in session, I expect that you work outside of our sessions as well. I will assign readings and homework, in bites that you are comfortable with. I do this because I believe that you are capable and in charge of changing your thoughts and your life in a way that feels aligned with who you want to be in this world.




Mihaela received her Master of Social Work from York University.
