In honour of launching Shift Collab, we are pleased to welcome a wonderful friend of ours to help us celebrate. On October 20, 2017, join us for a remarkably intimate evening with one of the greatest storytellers of our time, Frank Warren.
Frank is the creator of PostSecret. Over the past 13 years, over a million people globally have sent him heartfelt anonymous postcards sharing their secrets. It's no surprise that he has been dubbed, "The most trusted stranger in America." He will take us on a journey of the precarious moments in life when we start to share our secrets with those close to us; a look at secrets in transition.
Frank will be doing a 90-minute PostSecret Live performance, only in a much smaller venue than normal. This will allow for a remarkable evening of connection, stories and, of course, secrets.
Tickets are very limited, so don't delay!
With more than a million PostSecret books sold, two million social media followers and three million views of his standout TED talk, the PostSecret Phenomenon is bigger than ever. By turns thoughtful, funny, poignant and inspiring, this compendium of graphic haiku offers an intimate glimpse into both individual private lives and our shared humanity.
Over a decade ago, Frank Warren began a community art project that captured the popular imagination and became a worldwide obsession. He handed out postcards to strangers and left them in public places—asking people to share a secret they had never told anyone and mail them back to him anonymously. The idea went viral, and to this day people are still mailing Frank artful confessions from all over the world. No restrictions are made on the content of the secret; only that it must be completely truthful and must never have been spoken before. Entries often confess something deeply personal – embarrassing habits, hidden desires, hidden acts of kindness and even criminal activity.
Hundreds of thousands of these postcards are on exhibit at the Smithsonian in Washington DC while PostSecret Live continues to tour campuses everywhere.
