Susan Allen, BSW RSW
Respectful, supportive services where skills and abilities are uncovered.
Susan is a skilled and experienced therapist. She has extensive experience both as a therapist and manager in various children's mental health settings including residential treatment, day treatment, outpatient therapy and school based therapy.
At CAMH Susan was the Co-ordinator of the Family Council and advocated systemically for Family Centred Care - having said this Susan understands that a problem with one person in a family can have a profound affect on everyone and support for caregivers, children, siblings and close friends is important.
Most recently Susan managed a specialized program for Deaf and hard of hearing children, youth and families - she ensured the program provided culturally and linguistically accessible services to all clients. She learned the challenges and stigma faced every day by those considered differently abled.
Susan received her Bachelor of Social Work from Ryerson University.
