Angel helps adult women identify and process past experiences of trauma so they can better understand and cope with their emotions. Angel is also passionate about helping you determine whether or not your past trauma experiences are linked to challenges in your relationships. Through the therapy process, Angel will work with you to build resilience, manage triggers, and develop healthy coping mechanisms so that you can experience emotional healing and more meaningful connections with others.

Angel believes that you have the innate ability to grow and heal, especially when you have a trusting connection in therapy. Sessions with Angel will feel informal, non-judgmental, and collaborative. Together you’ll establish goals and develop a personalized therapy plan. Angel encourages open lines of communication and welcomes feedback. She believes that restructuring your journey may be needed at times, and is willing to make these adjustments with you. Angel encourages mindfulness as a way to better regulate emotions and is always willing to offer additional tools to support you.

Outside of sessions, Angel can be found spending time with her two kiddos. Together they enjoy camping, hiking, playing board games, and baking. As a busy mother and wife, Angel makes sure to focus on her own mental health. She practices self-care by going out with friends, watching thriller movies, going to the gym, and taking nature walks.

Q&A

What do you do to take care of your own mental health?
Regular self-care is a must. I like to get in touch with nature by taking walks, hiking, and camping - this gives me space and time to reflect. I also spend time with family and friends, going to places and trying new things. I also do affirmative self-talk and mindfulness activities before starting my day or whenever I need them.
What does good mental health look like to you?
Good mental health is the ability of an individual to recognize and manage their emotions which helps them cope with the daily stresses of life. It is being able to connect or form healthy relationships with people and with yourself.
How do you describe therapy?
Therapy is a relationship between the client and therapist that is built with respect, acceptance, mutual trust, and confidence. This relationship is one key factor that gives the client optimism for the future and resilience in times of adversity.
