Self-Harm

Self-harm is often a way of coping with pain that feels too big to hold, not a sign that something is wrong with you. If you're in the middle of hurting yourself right now or feel unsafe, please call 911 or call or text 988, the 9-8-8: Suicide Crisis Helpline. Shift Collab isn't a crisis service, so these are the fastest ways to get immediate support.

In therapy, we focus on understanding what self-harm is doing for you right now, whether that's releasing pressure, feeling something instead of numbness, or regaining a sense of control, and building other ways to get there. Your therapist will go at your pace, without judgment, and help you build tools you can actually use when the urge shows up.
