In the past several years therapists, counsellors, coaches, guides, and healers of all kinds have become increasingly present on social media. The focus of this session, delivered by Shift Therapist, Hannah Ciordas, is to explore the positive, precarious and nuanced impacts that exist at the intersection of social media and mental health—specifically, we will be focusing on what is often called "insta-therapy".
We've partnered with one of our favourite communities, SPINCO Toronto! In this 40-minute express class, you can move and groove in order to nurture your mental wellness in the most energetic way possible.
Seasonal changes can be a time for a reset and new beginnings, but for others, it can be a time of what we know to be seasonal depression or the winter blues. If you fall into the latter, you're not alone! In this webinar facilitated by Shift therapist Davina Mukinav, you will learn how to better understand seasonal depression and how we can cope with seasonal depression. More specifically, Davina will discuss how physical and mental movement can help you better manage feelings of seasonal depression and why it's important to nurture your wellness in these ways. This webinar will be an open discussion with time for Q&A so bring your questions and suggestions!
In this webinar delivered by Shift therapists Ayesha Hussain and Elena Karamanova, you will gain a better understanding of how to improve communication with yourself, and others, by cultivating a deeper sense of self-awareness.
In this virtual, 60-minute mindful yoga practice, Welcome Om Collective instructor Samantha Carpino will guide you through a meditation and visualization, followed by movement to invigorate your spirit and create space in your body and mind. Variations will be instructed so that all levels can attend. Additionally, music plays a big part in our time together. As you come into this class, Apple & Spotify links to this class playlist will be provided for an enhanced experience!
Are you ready to feel a new sense of tranquillity and well-being? Maybe even digest from Thanksgiving dinner? In this virtual, 60 min soft & slow yoga class, Modo Yoga Hamilton instructor Yvonne will gently guide you through various seated postures and poses that stimulate deep muscle release and will improve your flexibility by opening up the joints. This class is excellent for those who prefer a less vigorous yoga practice and those experiencing stress, injury or chronic pain. All levels are welcome!
