Meet Lacinda

Lacinda is here to help you navigate life's challenges with compassion and support. She specializes in assisting teens, adults, and families as they process trauma, including PTSD, manage anxiety, and transition through life's stressors. Lacinda has experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those on the autism spectrum, and provides tailored support for both individuals and parents of neurodiverse children. She understands that our responses and reactions come from deeply rooted experiences and believes in a holistic approach that engages both mind and body. Recognizing that habits like substance use often mask deeper issues, Lacinda is dedicated to working with you to explore and address the underlying concerns. In her care, you'll find a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your emotional landscape, paving the way for sustainable, positive change.

Therapy with Lacinda feels like a journey where you're in control, supported by her warmth, and understanding. Sessions are a relaxed and compassionate space where you can be authentically yourself. Lacinda collaborates with you to tailor therapy to your needs, empowering you to take charge of your healing process. It's about harnessing your strengths and embracing empowerment to achieve your personal goals. Lacinda's approach means you are always the expert of your own life, and she's there to guide and support your exploration of emotions, feelings, sensations and behaviours along the way.

Beyond therapy, Lacinda is a lover of the outdoors and enjoys taking hikes with her dogs, Luna and Willow. She's a fan of travel and can often be found indulging in DIY house projects—both starting and, hopefully, completing them! Physical activity and creative pursuits are part of Lacinda's wellness routine, deeply cherished for their beneficial effects on body and mind. She begins her day with a quiet moment of coffee and journaling, savouring puppy cuddles, and winds down in the evening with a good walk and a dose of reality TV.

Q&A

Are you a paw-rent? Tell us about your pet!
I have two dogs! Luna is a three year old Australian Shephard mix and an old soul. She loves to spend her days romping in the outdoors, chasing balls and being with her family. Willow is an one year old Golden Retriever and a very happy girl. She LOVES people and wants to be right by your side and greeting everyone (and anyone).
What do you do to take care of your own mental health?
I love to incorporate movement, nature, journaling, creativity and connection into my routine to maintain my mental wellness. However, this can also look different everyday. Somedays taking care of my mental health may just mean snuggling up on the couch with the dogs and some reality TV!
If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be?
Tacos! The opportunities are endless.
