Nafeesa is a registered social worker and psychotherapist with experience in counselling, school social work, child welfare, safety planning and risk assessment to survivors of trauma and domestic violence, and supportive counselling to older adults and people with special needs. As a practicing Muslim woman, she considers it a privilege to work in the Muslim community, both in her private practice and community organizations.
Nafeesa sees your struggles in the larger context of society. She understands that the social determinants of health (housing, employment, isolation, safety, health care, etc.) deeply affect the mental health and well-being of individuals, couples, and families.
Nafeesa offers culturally and religiously sensitive therapy. She will create a safe space where you can share your challenges, develop strategies to manage difficult situations, and improve your overall well-being.
