Sarah is here to support you with ADHD, OCD, managing stress, and perfectionism.

Headshot of Sarah Innes from waist up smiling in a business casual top.

Sarah helps adults and adolescents who experience ADHD and OCD-related perfectionism develop the tools needed to confidently manage anxiety. Sarah is also passionate about equipping individuals with a toolbox full of strategies to better manage stress and academic pressure. As a former perfectionist herself, Sarah truly understands the challenges you're facing and can ensure you that throughout your therapy journey, you will experience positive change together.

When you're in sessions with Sarah, she creates a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of criticism or misunderstanding. Sarah works collaboratively with you to identify your triggers and develop effective strategies to manage them. Sarah’s approach is built on trust, and you can expect to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and develop the skills to lead a more fulfilling life. In session with Sarah, it often feels like having coffee with your friend and you may even see her pup Finnigan pop into session every now and again!

Beyond sessions, Sarah can be found exploring scenic hiking trails with her Frenchie, Finnigan, catching up on her favourite reality T.V. shows (her guilty pleasure is Real Housewives!), trying out local coffee shops, or reading a good fiction novel on her Kindle. Sarah also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and you can always find her buying candles she certainly doesn't need while browsing through Homesense or Indigo.

Q&A

How do you describe therapy?
Therapy is a collaborative process that is built on a foundation of trust. Therapy is an opportunity to learn coping skills, adapt to life stressors and engage in self-discovery.
What do you do to take care of your own mental health?
As a therapist, maintaining good mental health is imperative. A few examples of this include practicing self-care, moving my body, engaging in my early morning relaxation routine, journaling, and being surrounded by my family and friends.
What is a motto or idea that gives you reassurance when you’re having a difficult time?
“This too shall pass”. This reminds us that no matter how challenging the situation may seem, it is temporary, and we have the strength to get through it.
