Meet Uma

Uma is a registered social worker. She supports adults to cope with stressful life changes, anxiety, depression, caregiver burnout and stress, navigating the healthcare system, and grief and loss. Being South Asian herself, Uma understands the unique cultural dynamics of South Asia and the challenges that South Asian people face.

Uma provides counselling in a caring and non-judgmental manner. Uma is EMDR trained and uses a trauma-informed lens and mindfulness practices in therapy. Uma will meet you with warmth and provide a safe space to share feelings, struggles, thoughts, and experiences.
