Being autistic can mean experiencing the world, social situations, and sensory input differently than the people around you, which can be exhausting to navigate in spaces that weren't built with that difference in mind. Diagnosis usually happens outside of therapy, but you don't need a formal diagnosis to explore what autism means for you.
In therapy, the focus is on understanding your own patterns without trying to fix or mask them, building communication and self-advocacy tools that fit how you actually think, and working through the frustration or isolation that can come from feeling misunderstood. You get to define what a fulfilling life looks like on your terms.
