Figuring out what to do with your professional life, or what to do next when the path you're on no longer fits, isn't always something career tests or job listings can answer. The questions underneath are often more personal: What kind of work actually matters to you? What have you been avoiding, and why? How much of your current direction is genuinely yours, and how much was chosen to satisfy someone else's expectations?
Therapy can be a useful complement to career planning, not as a replacement for practical advice but as a place to work through the internal obstacles that get in the way. That might include fear of failure or success, difficulty making decisions, feelings of being an imposter, or the grief that sometimes comes with changing direction. Understanding yourself more clearly tends to make the external choices easier to see and easier to act on.
