A toxic work environment doesn't have to involve one dramatic incident. It can be the accumulated effect of poor leadership, constant criticism, a culture of competition and mistrust, or feeling like your concerns are consistently dismissed. When you spend most of your waking hours in that kind of atmosphere, it starts to affect how you think, how you feel, and eventually who you are outside of work.
Therapy is a place to make sense of what you're experiencing and to stop absorbing it in silence. You'll work through the effects on your confidence and mental health, figure out what you actually want from your work, and think through what changes are possible, whether inside that environment or beyond it. You don't have to learn to live with something that's genuinely harmful.
