Amreeta is here to support you with perfectionism, shame, self-worth, anxiety and depression.

Amreeta is passionate about guiding you in self-discovery and personal growth. She will value what is true to you and help you develop compassion for yourself and others. Amreeta can help you better understand yourself by identifying triggers and ineffective beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and relationship dynamics. She will support you to develop clarity, awareness, and compassionate understanding. As you learn these skills, you can create healthy patterns to connect with your true self and with others.

Amreeta provides a holistic, integrative approach to therapy. She creates a safe and healing place where you can honour each part of yourself. Amreeta uses attachment, humanistic, and experiential theories in her practice. She also uses evidence and strength-based approaches including emotionally-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, self-compassion, mindfulness, and others.

Amreeta will work with you to identify your strengths and reach your counselling goals. As you do this, you will start to develop inner peace, accept yourself for who you are, and feel more connected to yourself and others.

What do you do to take care of your own mental health?
I take care of my mental health by exercising (#1 for me), reading, meditating, and watching comedies. I also connect with my friends, and I attend therapy.

How do you describe therapy?
Therapy is a safe place for you to develop self compassion, and deepen your connection with your emotions so that it can help you be confident with who you are. My role is to hold up the flashlight and be a guide in helping you connect to your inner compass.
