With over 20 years of experience, Lorena provides individual therapy for adults and caregivers, guiding clients through life’s transitions, health challenges, and the mental health impacts of chronic conditions and serious illnesses. Her extensive work in caregiver support groups, cancer rehabilitation programs, and workshops on thriving post-cancer has given her a deep understanding of the resilience needed to adapt and move forward through difficult circumstances. Lorena helps clients manage stress, establish healthy boundaries, and strengthen relationships - especially for those facing challenging diagnoses, caregiving roles, or other significant life experiences.

In sessions with Lorena, you’ll be encouraged to bring your most open, curious self as you explore how thoughts influence feelings and behaviours. Together, you’ll identify stressors, build resilience, and set goals that promote growth and well-being. She aims to empower you with practical tools and strategies for resilience, self-compassion, and lasting change - so you can confidently approach life and make meaningful strides in your personal and relational well-being.

Outside of work, Lorena is a busy mom of three and an expert multitasker! Fuelled by caffeine, she loves trying new foods, travelling, and squeezing in time at the gym. She has a soft spot for big dogs and meets every new challenge with genuine enthusiasm.

Q&A

What is your favourite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon?
On a beautiful day I love to get out and about. It could be a long walk on a nature trail or around a lake to let my mind relax in the serenity. Or it could be a simple local walk with the kids to a park followed by our local ice creamery.
Are you a paw-rent? Tell us about your pet!
I have always loved dogs and grew up with them as part of my family. Before children we got the most wonderful male Bernese mountain dog. He is a wonderful companion, loving me and food unconditionally!
If you were stranded on an island, what three things would take with you?
As a busy mother of three I would probably enjoy the first few hours of being stuck alone on an island. I would bring a comfy beach recliner and a change of tropical beach wear and soak it all in. Once I had my fill I would jump on my magic broomstick and fly home to the family who would be wondering where I am. Would any of them notice the tan?
