Virtual Support Group

I am excited to announce that I am launching a revamped virtual support and educational group for individuals living with Chronic Pain.

If that sounds like something that might interest you, please take a moment to read the details of the support group below and learn more about how to enroll.

You don't have to struggle with your chronic pain alone anymore.

Studies show that managing pain is easier when you are in a support group. Join us for 6-weeks where together, we will learn skills for your pain management ‘tool kit’ and learn how to set action plans and goals to help you manage and cope. Finally, a support group that addresses the whole person — mind, body and mood.

Throughout this 6-week program, a small group of participants living with Chronic Pain will learn ways and tools to help manage pain and better cope with their chronic health conditions. This will be a confidential and closed group, designed to help keep you feeling supported and connected.

Each week, the group will focus on a different pain management strategy and will feature guest speakers on nutrition, mindfulness, medicine and wellness. This will give you the opportunity to interact with like-minded individuals, build connections, and learn practical coping skills from experts. Together, we will gain skills that will help enable you to better navigate the emotional and physical challenges, as well as the nutritional and social challenges that pain presents.

Group Facilitator:

The group is led by me, Andrika Rook, Registered Psychotherapist. I specialize in supporting individuals to manage pain and injury, particularly people with chronic health conditions and professional athletes. I understand that injury and illness often come hand-in-hand with struggles like anxiety, depression and stress.

Dates & Times:

This is a six-week group held once a week over Zoom. Each session is one hour long. We have two cohorts coming up:

  1. Fridays, June 4 to July 9, at 1:00 p.m. EST
  2. Fridays, July 16 to August 20, at 1:00 p.m. EST
  3. Fridays, October 15 to November 18, at 1:00 p.m. EST

In addition, participation in this group includes a one-hour-long private therapy session with me!

Fees:

Payment for this group can be made by Credit Card or e-transfer. Fees must be paid upfront to secure your spot in this highly anticipated group. Please note that there are no refunds for missed or late canceled sessions. This group is valued at over $1000.

Early Bird Fee: $350 +HST, if you register for the June cohort before May 15, 2021

Regular Fee: $400 +HST
