Mahnoor helps young adults manage relationship issues, work-life balance, and life transitions so they can better control their lives and feel more confident in their abilities. As part of her practice, she often works with multicultural individuals to help them navigate any conflicting cultural values so that they can embrace their unique identities. As a South Asian woman, growing up in the Western world, Mahnoor understands the cross-cultural challenges that can arise while navigating between different cultural values and perspectives. She incorporates this awareness while providing culturally-sensitive therapy.

Mahnoor understands starting therapy can be difficult, so she creates a safe and comforting space for you to feel confident and empowered. She uses a holistic approach to comprehensively understand you and your experiences and provides individualized care based on your background and concerns. Mahnoor works collaboratively with you to explore your needs, set therapeutic goals, and create an action plan to achieve them. She is warm, empathetic, understanding, and energetic throughout her sessions with you.

In her free time, Mahnoor enjoys cooking while singing along to throwback hits, doing arts and crafts, watching TV shows, exploring new places, and playing games with friends. Mahnoor likes to partake in gratitude activities as she believes appreciating the little things in life creates happiness and allows for a positive outlook. Mahnoor is always interested in learning more about different cultures, creations, and discoveries.

Q&A

What is a motto or idea that gives you reassurance when you’re having a difficult time?
Every challenge is an opportunity, a chance to grow, and a lesson to learn from. These experiences will become a ladder to a stronger future self.
What do you do to take care of your own mental health?
To care for my mental health, I partake in self-care strategies such as unwinding while watching sitcoms, expressing my emotions through art, practising mindfulness and self-compassion, and getting some extra rest when my body needs it.
What does good mental health look like to you?
Good mental health can look different for each person, however overall, it involves self-care, self-compassion, and peace of mind. Learning beneficial tools to manage challenges can help with this.
