CLINICAL APPROACH

Polyvagal-Informed Therapy

Polyvagal-informed therapy uses Polyvagal Theory to help you understand your nervous system's automatic responses, like shutting down, feeling on edge, or freezing up, as survival responses rather than personal failings. Your therapist helps you notice these shifts as they happen and build ways to move your body back toward a calmer, more connected state.

Polyvagal-informed therapy uses Polyvagal Theory to help you understand and work with your nervous system's automatic stress responses, like shutting down or feeling on edge.

WHAT IT TREATS / WHO IT'S FOR

It's often used alongside trauma, anxiety, and chronic stress work, and can help if you feel stuck in fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown patterns you can't reason your way out of. Because this approach relies on noticing subtle body cues, your virtual therapist will often talk you through in-the-moment grounding techniques you can use on camera or over the phone.
