People choose to work with Lisa for her empathy, compassion, and knowledge. Lisa combines her experience supporting trauma clients and her educational background in neuroscience with a relatable, accessible approach. She is a skilled trauma therapist who is passionate about identifying the negative narratives we hold within ourselves, and identifying how to break the habits of these thinking patterns.
This week we asked Lisa a few questions about her thoughts on therapy and just why chose to become a therapist!
1. What do you love about therapy?
One thing I love about doing therapy is exploring how past experiences can be affecting us in the here and now. It’s a great way to gain insight on our thought patterns, emotions, and behaviour.
2. Why did you become a therapist?
The single best thing about being a therapist and why I went into this field is the gratitude you get from helping others in their journey to recovery - there is nothing more rewarding! I’m always inspired by the resiliency of my clients.
3. What is one place you’d love to travel to and why?
That is a tough one since there are so many places I have on my bucket list! If I had to narrow it down, I would say Thailand or Bali because of their magical sunsets!
