Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder characterized by an intense fear of situations where escape might be difficult or help unavailable in the event of a panic attack. Individuals with agoraphobia often avoid crowded places, public transportation, or even leaving their homes. This can severely limit their daily activities and quality of life.
