Laura is a Registered Social Worker with experience in Canada and the U.S. She received her Master’s of Social Work (MSW) from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, and is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW), Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW), and the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW). Laura has completed training in Mindfulness-based interventions (MBSR/MBCT) at the Sunnybrook Psychiatry Institute for Continuing Education, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and treatment of concurrent disorders with the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH). She is currently completing certification in Applied Mindfulness Meditation through the University of Toronto.
Laura is passionate about working collaboratively with clients from all walks of life to facilitate positive change and growth. She provides a safe and confidential space to address challenges such as depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship and family issues, self-esteem, and the many transitions we face at every stage of life. Guided by a sense of compassion and honesty, Laura is committed to providing individualized therapy that meets each client's unique needs, honours their personal values and lived experience, and allows them to move forward with a greater sense of purpose and meaning.
