Meet Sara

Sara has a deep reverence and respect for the healing process. She strongly believes that the only way out is through. Sara understands that it takes courage to walk the healing path and it would be her great honour to be your guide. She revels in the common threads that bind us together in our journey through humanity — no matter how messy or imperfect.

With almost 10 years of Social Work experience, in both Canada and the U.S, counselling adults, adolescents and families, Sara brings a wide and varied context and perspective to her work. Sara has worked in a  spectrum of levels of care, from in-home and community based mental health to residential treatment. She has a wealth of experience supporting people through just about any difficulty or transition you could imagine. The last few years of Sara’s practice have focused primarily on Family Therapy and as a result, she has an exceptional understanding of the intergenerational effects of childhood trauma and how our experiences in our families of origin impact us as individuals into adulthood.
