Melissa is passionate about helping you make lasting changes in your life. She considers it a privilege to walk with you on your journey towards well-being. She has supported people who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, trauma, grief/loss, addictions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and self-esteem. She also specializes in eating disorders, body image issues, taming your inner critic, and strategies for handling stress

Melissa brings a caring, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach to sessions. Her rich personal journey has included highs and lows, which she believes can help her identify with you and support you.

Melissa’s holistic approach to therapy draws on psychodynamic psychotherapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, gestalt therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. She can help you explore the connection between your mind, body, and spirit, and support you to work towards greater self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-acceptance.

Melissa is the co-author of the book Eating Disorders: Causes, Diagnosis and Treatments.
